How do I make an appointment?
You can schedule your appointment online.
Click on the "Book Now" page and button and select the service(s) you'd like to schedule. Enter your name, phone number, and email. A credit or debit card is also required to hold the appointment. Your card will not be charged but is required for the 24-hour cancellation policy.
If you are using a Groupon voucher or SpaFinder/SpaWish gift card follow the same steps above. Additionally, enter your voucher or gift card number when prompted.
My Groupon Was Redeemed But I Haven’t Come In Yet
Please don’t worry if your voucher has been redeemed. Your service is already paid for (unless you schedule services listed outside of your voucher).
Simply book your appointment online and enter your voucher number when prompted.
Bring your redeemed voucher to show to your Esthetician at the time of your appointment and you’re all set.
Does waxing hurt?
We use a combination of soft (strip) wax and hard wax. You may experience some discomfort, but will find this wax experience to be more comfortable than others. Some clients find it helpful to take an Ibuprofen or other analgesic at least 30 minutes before their wax appointment.
How long does my hair need to be to get waxed?
For body waxing: wait at least 3-4 weeks post-shave, post-wax, or post-depilatory before waxing. The hair needs to be the length of the size of jasmine-rice or a quarter-inch long.
For facial waxing: wait 2-3 weeks post-shave, post-wax, or post-depilatory before waxing again.
How should I prepare for my wax appointment?
Exfoliating and moisturizing the skin at least three days prior is key to getting your smoothest wax. You can use a gentle sugar scrub to exfoliate the areas being waxed and hydrate the skin with body lotion.
Waxing is an exfoliating service, so you should discontinue the use of Tretinoin, Retin-A, prescribed vitamin A derivatives, and antibiotics at least two weeks prior to your wax.
What should I do post-wax?
Within 24 hours post-wax: do not exfoliate, don't use hot water, don't workout or swim, don't engage in sweaty activities of any kind, don't use heavily fragrant or exfoliating products, and don't wear makeup.
After 24 hours you can exfoliate 2-3 times per week with a sugar scrub or exfoliating gloves/loofah. Follow exfoliating with an AHA/BHA serum/lotion/wipe applied daily.
My favorite post-wax method is using a sugar scrub for manual exfoliation and wipes infused with a cocktail of tea tree oil, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid to treat/prevent ingrown hairs and lighten discoloration. This will make sure that you do not get post-wax irritation as the hair starts to grow back.
How often should I wax?
A good rule of thumb is to wait at least 2-3 weeks for facial waxing services and 4-6 weeks for body waxing services. For some hair may grow back faster or slower. Always make sure the hair is long enough to wax.
How should I prepare for my facial appointment?
Each facial service incorporates exfoliating treatments. So, you should skip exfoliating your skin at least four days prior to your facial. You should avoid using any scrubs, acids, or retinol products beforehand. Men should shave the night before their facial and not the day of, to avoid skin sensitivity.
Remove all jewelry on the body as metal on/in the body contraindicates the use of electric modalities, such as high frequency treatments.
Tretinoin, Retin-A, prescribed vitamin A derivatives, and antibiotics should be discontinued at least two weeks prior to your facial.
Note: if your skin is sunburned or any irritation/contraindications are present, you will have to reschedule for a later time.
What should I do post-facial?
Within 24 hours of your facial: avoid wearing makeup, cleansing/exfoliating your skin, and do wear sunscreen moisturizer/lotion.
After 24 hours: continue with the skin care routine, treatments, and products recommended by your Esthetician.
